A cornerstone of Pacific Northwest slowcore, You Should Be At Home Here captures Carissa’s Wierd at their most fragile, slow-building and emotionally affecting. Built around eerie strings, understated percussion and hushed vocals, the album carries a quiet sense of tension - songs that feel intimate and deeply personal, yet always on the verge of something larger unfolding. Moments like “The Color That Your Eyes Changed With the Color of Your Hair” and “Blessed Arms That Hold You Tight, Freezing Cold and Alone” highlight that balance of melancholy and subtle warmth, helping the record earn a lasting cult following. This 25th anniversary edition features previously unreleased recordings and is presented on exclusive colored vinyl.
