Milan Records presses Jeremy Zuckerman's score for Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender as a two-record set, the first disc on translucent ultraclear vinyl and the second on translucent light blue, in a full-color gatefold jacket. Thirty-six cues run across the four sides, nine, ten, ten and seven to a side. Paramount Pictures licenses the recording to Milan, a Sony Music label; the center labels carry both marks.
The gatefold opens on a letter from the composer, signed in Los Angeles on July 17, 2026 and addressed to Benjamin Wynn, with whom Zuckerman scored the original series. He writes that the new score is "massively larger" in scale than the 2005 show's but was made the same way, "friends and community bringing something into being, together," and that the support of those friends "feels as it did in that little house, in the little room with the one microphone." He names Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, who created Avatar: The Last Airbender, and signs off, "Keep making things together." The facing page prints the orchestral and choral personnel in full.
The film is an Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Movies animated feature directed by Lauren Montgomery, set in the Four Nations years after the Hundred-Year War, with Aang setting out again to protect the peace he and his friends had won. Its voice cast includes Eric Nam, Dave Bautista, Jessica Matten, Steven Yeun, Román Zaragoza, Ke Huy Quan, Freida Pinto, Dionne Quan, Taika Waititi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Dee Bradley Baker, Ronny Chieng and Ken Jeong. It premiered on Paramount+ and in select theaters in July 2026 and reached Blu-ray and DVD on November 3, 2026.
Zuckerman wrote the music for the original Nickelodeon series and for The Legend of Korra and Seven Havens, and this is his return to that world. Milan issued the score digitally on July 24, 2026; this pressing is its first appearance on record. "Sonam's Song" closes side D, "The Original Airbenders" precedes it, and "Return to the Eternal Wind" sits third from the end.
