Film Bleu, the landmark debut album that established For Tracy Hyde as one of Japan's most innovative independent bands, returns in a deluxe limited-edition 2LP set on Light Blue Colored Vinyl.
A defining work in the band's history, Film Bleu introduced For Tracy Hyde's distinctive sound by blending the aesthetics of Shibuya-kei with inspirations drawn from anime and literature, creating a fresh musical language that resonated with the internet generation. Combining the shimmering textures of shoegaze and chillwave with melodic influences ranging from 1990s J-pop to anime soundtracks, the album transcends genre boundaries while remaining irresistibly melodic and emotionally rich.
Featuring fan favorites including the live staple "Favorite Blue," Film Bleu captures the youthful optimism, nostalgia, and cinematic atmosphere that would become the band's signature. More than a debut, it laid the foundation for one of Japan's most internationally celebrated shoegaze and dream pop acts.
Presented as a deluxe 2LP edition on beautiful Clear Blue Colored Vinyl, this limited pressing offers the definitive vinyl edition of a modern classic, essential for fans of Japanese indie, shoegaze, dream pop, and alternative music.
