A formidable squad comprising Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive, Games Workshop and Laced Records has beaten back the Tyranid hordes long enough to unleash the mighty soundtrack for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 on vinyl.

29 tracks have been specially mastered for vinyl and will be pressed onto heavyweight discs in traditional black. LPs come in a deluxe gatefold sleeve adorned with artwork by Saber Interactive.

Co-composers Nima Fakhrara (Detroit: Become Human, Resident Evil: Revelations 2) and Steve Molitz (World War Z, Evil Dead: The Game) understood the assignment, creating dense, thrilling cues that reflect the majesty and might of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The composers harness the weight and power of giant drums, thunderous live brass and male choirs to immerse players in the deadly worlds of Kadaku and Avarax.

To capture the sheer magnitude of the invading Tyranid swarms, Fakhrara recorded and sampled hundreds of war drums. He developed a custom program to multiply the samples, giving him the raw power of thousands of drummers at his fingertips.

Meanwhile, Molitz recorded the otherworldly, resonant sounds of the Earth Harp—the world's largest stringed instrument, created and performed by visionary musician William Close. This serves to amplify the soundtrack's scale to match the grandeur of the game's expansive environments and intense combat. It marks the first time the Earth Harp has appeared on a video game soundtrack, and the wildly dynamic nature of this unique instrument made it a perfect fit for Space Marine 2, especially the unpredictable sorcery of the traitorous Space Marine legion, the Thousand Sons.

Finally, the score is tied together by expertly crafted, darkly atmospheric synths and hybrid orchestral elements that leave players in no doubt that anything could emerge from the shadows to overwhelm even the toughest Ultramarine.
