Simple Minds are recognised as one of the greatest live bands of their generation. This was demonstrated yet again in Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on 6 April 2024, where they played to a sold-out arena of 17,000 fans.
The Amsterdam show has been compiled into a brand new live album, ‘Live in The City of Diamonds’, which presents a perfect mix of the best songs from the band's long and dynamic career. It is a unique reflection of the band's current strengths as a live band with a line-up consisting of Jim Kerr (vocals), Charlie Burchill (guitar, keyboards), Gordy Goudie (acoustic guitar), Ged Grimes (bass), Cherisse Osei (drums), Erik Ljungggren (keyboards) and Sarah Brown (vocals).
