Byron Bay indie-rockers SEASIDE announce their long-awaited debut album ‘Desiderata’ coming this October, marking a powerful milestone in their eight-year journey. Known for their emotionally raw songwriting and dreamy yet fi erce sound, ‘Desiderata’ captures themes of love, heartbreak, addiction, grief, and hope — brought to life through the band’s signature blend of indie and alternative rock.
The title Desiderata comes from the poem read at Darcy’s parents’ wedding, and the album art features ‘Sadie’ — a crying sun that embodies SEASIDE’s essence: sunshine and sorrow. Standout tracks include “Rebels,” inspired by a dream about lost love; “Family Gambling,” a haunting portrayal of addiction and its consequences; and “Big Sky,” a powerful tribute to grief, written following the loss of Darcy’s father.
