The Only One I Know" was the second single by The Charlatans and the standout lead track from their 1990 debut album, Some Friendly, released on the Beggars Banquet imprint, Situation Two. Remastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios, this release also includes the tracks "Imperial 109" and "Everything Changed." An iconic anthem of the Manchester scene, "The Only One I Know" combines swirling Hammond organ riffs, infectious basslines, and Tim Burgess's dreamy vocals. The track peaked at #9 on the UK charts and became a defining moment of the baggy era. A perennial club favourite, it remains an essential part of The Charlatans' legacy.
