Product Overview
Three of Masayoshi Takanaka’s most beloved albums—“T-WAVE,” “alone,” and “THE RAINBOW GOBLINS”—have been remastered from the original master tapes using high-resolution audio, with remastering and cutting done at Abbey Road Studios in London.
“T-WAVE” and “alone” were remastered and cut by Alex Wharton, one of Abbey Road’s top engineers who has worked on albums by Paul McCartney & Wings and The Chemical Brothers. Meanwhile, the fan-favorite concept album “THE RAINBOW GOBLINS” received remastering and high-quality half-speed cutting from the legendary Miles Showell, who has handled works by The Beatles, Queen, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones.
Each title is a 180g limited edition pressing, issued on color vinyl designed to enhance the aesthetic of the album’s artwork.
“THE RAINBOW GOBLINS” (original release: March 10, 1981): 180g clear purple vinyl.
Remastered & half-speed cut by Miles Showell (Abbey Road Studios, London).
Takanaka’s seventh original album, inspired by the picture book The Rainbow Goblins by Italian artist Ul De Rico, presented here as a fully realized concept album.
