The band called on producer Jerry Harrison to recapture their unique raw energy and emotion. The Distance To Here is filled with plenty of guitar riffs, thunderous tempos and a mystical aura and regains the aggressive intensity of Throwing Copper from 1994. The album derived several hit singles including 'The Dolphin's Cry', 'Run To The Water' and 'They Stood Up For Love'. The album reached the top spot in the album charts of Australia, Belgium and Canada and reached the Top 10 in almost every album chart in Europe.
