Masaaki Yuasa and Madhouse teamed up for the second time to produce “KAIBA,” an original TV animation work broadcasted on WOWOW.
The bonus soundtrack CD included with the first volume of the DVD released in 2008 will be reissued as an analog double-LP version for the first time in over 17 years!
"KAIBA” is an animated science fiction film set in a highly technological dystopian, alien civilization where human memories can be extracted into data and transplanted into other bodies.
The distinctive and unique music for “KAIBA” was composed by Kiyoshi Yoshida, a synthesist and music producer known for his skillful incorporation of Japanese and Asian motifs into the world of music.
Euphoric, beautiful, fantastic, and ambience-filled songs that wash away the deep karma of the people who inhabit the world in which they are created.
The latest remastering by Soichiro Nakamura (Peace Music) has brought back to life the gems of music that colored the impressive animation world depicted on a grand scale, ranging from 90s ambient techno/IDM to nostalgic and transparent post-minimal and new age music.
