One morning in 2017, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announced that their new album Polygondwanaland was being released under public domain and people could release it themselves in whatever way they wanted. We took this opportunity to make it the inaugural release for this label we were planning to launch in 2018 called Needlejuice Records. It was an immediate success for us and all this time later, the label’s still chugging along, all because of the incredibly generous assistance of King Gizzard.
