Fall Out Of The Future started with a picture and the chunky colours of a particular commute - The shipping containers, choppy cold city greys, all the blues of the sea and the pale concrete. Driving over the bridge that way is such a marker of getting distance on the day and Fall out of the Future (the single and the album’s) words all seem to be about moving, stolen moments, the sea and loosening the grip on certainty.
All of us wash up at jams after work in Rye or North Melbourne with different shrapnel from the day on our minds, and with our regularity there’s a language we’ve made - This album feels like all the colours, pictures and stories from our summer to winter together.
