Indie-rock royalty, and Jezabels frontwoman, Hayley Mary announces her debut solo album Roman XS, out Friday, 25 October. Produced by Hayley and The Jezabels producer, Lachlan Mitchell, with co-production from Johnny Took (DMA’S) and Lewis Stephenson (The Belligerents, Moses Gunn Collective), Roman XS traverses the territory of iconic 80s divas such as Annie Lennox and Kate Bush, with moments of more masculine rock like The Killers, The Cure, and Arctic Monkeys, and hints of metal and gritty dance. Featuring singles 'The Lonely One' , 'One Last Drag' , 'The Ballad of Ruby Wednesday’ and ‘Eighteen', the forthcoming album showcases Hayley’s capacity for writing cathartic pop songs with lyrics as deep as ancient ruins, for those who want to dig. Roman XS is sure to be an impressive debut LP.
